Each tile has a unique effect that can help you achieve conservation goals and enhance your zoo's appeal. Smart building and planning are essential for creating a well-functioning whole.

Each player has a set of four action cards to manage their game. The power of an action depends on its current position on your player board. One of these cards lets you play projects, while the other three allow you to add animals to their respective habitats: forest, rock, or water.

Animal Kingdom is based on its predecessor , Ark Nova , but simplifies and refines many of the game's mechanics in an elegant and surprising way. The challenge of cleverly integrating animals, buildings, and projects into your zoo map remains engaging and offers new strategic possibilities with every play session.
