Set sail for an adventurous raid, because it could be your last! Brave danger and adventure as you once again search for the most valuable treasures the Caribbean has to offer. Then quickly find a safe haven to hide precious gold, rare emeralds and pearls with a dazzling shine. Explore, collect cargo, hire crew, take over rival ships, but don't forget to bury your loot. As you sail, you look for a place to settle down after your life on the high seas has come to an end. It won't be easy... You'll have to outrun your opponents, because one trip around the Caribbean won't be enough. You must make three voyages to retire as the richest and greatest pirate of all time.

Pirates of Maracaibo is a standalone game in the same franchise as the popular game Maracaibo (2019). Players familiar with Maracaibo will recognize some beloved concepts from the original. However, new players can jump right in without any prior knowledge of the original game, as Pirates of Maracaibo is an independent game with a more accessible set of rules. The game takes place over three rounds; sail through the Caribbean, hire crew, join other ships, explore the coast, collect the most treasures and retreat to a remote island as the most revered pirate in history.
