Inside Job is a very original and extremely exciting card game. Due to the diverse missions and different objectives, players must be constantly alert. The game also contains extra role cards to add even more variation and different variants to make it a little easier for the agents or the infiltrator. A 2-player variant is also available.
In this almost cooperative battle game, 3, 4 or 5 secret agents must try to complete a predetermined number of missions. However, there is one big problem. One of them is an infiltrator and is trying to sabotage everything!
At the start of the game you are given a role, agent or infiltrator. That card determines your goal. You also receive 1 secret suitcase and a certain number of cards in your hand. A standard battle game is played, where each battle represents 1 mission. Before each trick, the starting player chooses the mission for the current round from 2 mission cards. That mission card also determines the trump suit of the trick in question.
Depending on the number of players, the agents must complete a certain number of missions to win the game immediately. The infiltrator must try to prevent that. That seems simple because he is the only one who is not bound by rules when playing cards. The winner of a battle receives a secret suitcase. This is important, because the infiltrator automatically wins once he has collected a certain number of suitcases. During the game, communication is allowed as long as the players do not reveal anything about their cards.
It may happen that both parties fail to meet the victory conditions. In that case, a vote will follow. After consultation, each player simultaneously appoints another. If the infiltrator gets the most votes, the agents win, otherwise the infiltrator.
