Borealis: Arctic Expedition puts you in the role of leader of a team of scientists venturing into unexplored boreal regions to observe wildlife.

To succeed, you must coordinate the efforts of your nine-person crew. These specialists come from three different fields and are represented by different-colored meeples. You'll also choose suitable modes of transportation to navigate the impassable landscapes, ice fields, and waters of the far north.

Whoever manages to amass the most impressive collection of observed animal species and penetrates the deepest into the icy land will gain eternal fame — with their own encyclopedia entry and a snow-covered island named after them.
