Uno game
Uno is a super popular card game that is very similar to bullying. However, you do not play the Uno game with a normal deck of cards, but with simpler Uno cards. The Uno cards come in four different colors (yellow, green, red and blue) and are numbered from 0 to 9. The goal of the Uno game is to be the first to score 500 points. You do this by emptying your hand of cards as quickly as possible. At that moment you score the points on the remaining cards of the other players.
At the beginning of the Uno game, all players take a card from the deck. The player with the highest card starts dealing and gives all players 7 cards. The top card of the deck is turned over as the first card of the game and the player to the left of the dealer starts. He places a card on the deck that is the same in symbol, number or color as the card that is already there. Can he not play a card? Then he draws a new card from the deck and plays it if possible. If he still cannot, it is the next player's turn.
The Uno game continues like this until a player has no cards left. The first player to score 500 points wins the Uno game!
Uno Flip
Fan of Uno? You're definitely not the only one! And that resulted in a new Uno game, called Uno Flip! The familiar card game, but with exciting new twists! Uno Flip contains double-sided cards, a special Flip card and heavier penalties, making Uno even more fun. The cards have a 'light' side with which you can play the regular Uno game and a 'dark' side, where the penalties are super strict. These cards contain new actions that will shake things up, such as 'Draw 5 cards' and 'Skip everyone'.
When the Flip card is played, all cards in the hands, the draw pile and the other cards are turned over, changing the entire game! All players now see a completely new series of numbers and colors on their cards! The player with the Flip card decides whether to play with the light or dark side of the Uno cards and when the cards are turned back over. Uno Flip is just as popular as the classic Uno game. Have you played it yet?
Uno card game
The Uno card game is originally American and is published by the well-known publisher Mattel. It is a card game for 2 - 10 players. Uno is very similar to pesten, but the rules of Uno are even easier. That is why Uno is the perfect family game!
Uno punish
To make the game even more fun, there are a number of penalties that apply.
You forgot to call Uno
When you have only one card left in your hand, you have to call out Uno. That way the other players know to pay extra attention. Forget to call out Uno? Then you have to take two cards from the pile.
Playing the wrong card
If a player plays a wrong card, he must take two cards from the deck and take back the played cards.
Bluffing about the take-4 card
You may only play a draw-4 card if you do not have the color that is on the open pile in your hand. But be careful, because you are allowed to bluff about this. The player who has to draw 4 cards must try to estimate whether or not they are bluffing. Does that player think they are bluffing? Then they may ask you to show your cards to check whether they really do not have that color in their hands. Did you play the draw-4 card honestly and rightly? Then the player must draw 2 extra cards from the pile (so a total of 6). But was they right and did you bluff? Then you have to draw 4 cards from the pile yourself!
Uno cards
The classic Uno game contains regular Uno cards and special cards. In total there are 104 cards in the game. The regular Uno cards have 4 different colors (yellow, green, red and blue) and are numbered from 0 - 9.
Uno action cards
But what rules apply to the action cards? In the classic Uno game you will find 5 types of action cards:
Take two:
The next player must draw 2 cards from the deck and skip a turn.
Turn-around:
When this card is played, the direction of the game reverses. Were you playing clockwise before? Now it's your turn counterclockwise.
Skip Turn:
The player whose turn it would be must skip a turn.
Choice card:
The player who plays this card may determine the color of the next turn.
Take-4:
The player who plays this card gets to choose the color of the next turn, and the player who comes after him has to draw 4 cards and skip a turn. However, you can only play the 'take 4' card if you do not have the color that is on the open pile in your hand. Be careful: you are allowed to bluff! But if you get caught, there are penalties...
Uno card scoring
For the scoring, for the number cards, you simply add up the value of the card. For the action cards, the following points apply:
Take Two: 20 points
Reverse: 20 points
Skip Turn: 20 points
Choice card: 50 points
Take-4: 50 points
So it's better not to have the best cards in your hands at the end of the game...
Uno variants
The Uno card game is so popular that there are now so many versions! We have already told you about Uno Flip!, but did you know that there are many more Uno variants? Uno DOS for example! In this card game, 2-10 players compete against each other individually or as teams. The goal? To be the first to score 500 points. In Uno DOS you score points by being the first player to get rid of all your cards. With your action cards you make it more difficult for your opponents. This Uno variant gives a funny twist to the Uno game.
But there are many more Uno variations! Uno Junior is just as much fun as the original Uno game, but with even easier rules. Perfect for children aged 3 and up. Uno Braille was created in collaboration with the National Federation of the Blind , so that it is easier to play for blind or partially sighted people. For the real Uno fans, there is Uno Extreme. In this variation, you no longer take a card from the stack, but receive a random number of cards from the automatic card holder. There are also extra assignment cards that offer players other strategic choices.
Uno Showdown adds the unexpected card shower to the Uno game. When the light goes on, players have to press the pedal down as quickly as possible. The fastest player wins the showdown and lets the Uno cards fly to the other players! Chaos and fun guaranteed! And of course there are also Uno variants with a specific theme, such as Uno Harry Potter. What is your favorite Uno game?
