Description

Pax Renaissance 2nd Edition is a 1 to 4 player game where you play as a banker in Europe at the height of the Renaissance during the late 15th and early 16th centuries.

A time when European nobility and warlords declined and art and technology advanced in the wake of a new economic power: merchants and bankers. These bankers became the richest individuals ever when they led Europe into the modern era.

As a Renaissance banker, you finance kings or republics, sponsor voyages of discovery, join secret cabals or unleash jihads and inquisitions. Your choices will determine whether Europe is elevated into the bright modern age or continues to fester in darkness. Four victories determine the future course of Western society: will it be towards imperialism, trade globalization, religious totalitarianism or enlightened art and science?
