Brigands - Board Game (ENG)

Description

The king is on holiday. He has entrusted the city and its treasure to the prince. The bandits know it and plan to line their pockets... or at least try! Are you going to play as a prince or a bandit?

Brigands is an asymmetrical game of deduction and deception that pits a prince against rival gangs of bandits. The prince must protect the city's coffers from the bandits. If no bandit manages to steal 50 ducats from the kingdom by the end of the 6 game turns, the prince is the winner! Otherwise, the richest bandit wins.

On a turn, each player sends his 3 crew members to his chosen neighborhoods. The choice is secret and simultaneous. When everyone has made their decision, it's time to reveal the choices and place all the crew members in the city. When the prince's crew finds itself in the same neighborhood as the bandits, thieves are arrested before they can hope to get richer. Otherwise they can plunder the neighborhood. Each district allows you to rob the treasure in a unique way. Note that if someone has played an action token on the district at the beginning of their turn, they can steal or push crew, or perhaps run to another district at the last minute. Once in prison, thieves can choose to wait out trial or try to escape. The prince player will improve his skills throughout the game to get his treasure back or catch bandits better.
