Set in the world of Cthulhu: Death May Die and inspired by the books of HP Lovecraft, Dark Providence is a competitive game in which players take on secret roles as Explorers and Cultists from the most influential cities in the United States during the Great Depression. As the Cultists explore the vulnerability of the nation with the aim of remaking it, the Researchers take the opposite side, standing against this dark prophecy. Each player's secret role determines how they will score points at the end of the game, however, this is not a cooperative game. Throughout the game, players use influence to bid for the right to claim asset cards, control cities, and collect myth cards. Each newly acquired asset card improves the players' deck and thus the resources and actions they can perform during a turn. In an effort to keep their identities secret and avoid madness, players perform a multitude of actions, such as persuading hired agents to their side of the battle, assassinating other players' agents, gathering additional help from myth- cards, blocking other players from claiming cards, and sealing or protecting gates, among others to gain victory points. At the end, only the player with the most victory points from the dominant side of the battle wins the game!

In Ora et Labora (Latin for 'Pray and Work'), each player is the head of a monastery in the Middle Ages who acquires land and constructs buildings. They are, so to speak, small businesses that provide resources and profits. The goal is to build a working infrastructure and craft prestigious items - such as books, ceramics, ornaments and relics - to gain the most victory points at the end of the game. Ora et Labora, Uwe Rosenberg's fifth "major" game, has game mechanics similar to his Le Havre, such as two-sided resource cards that can be upgraded from a basic item to something more useful. Instead of adding resources to the board every turn as in Agricola and Le Havre, Ora et Labora uses a numbered rondel to show how much of each resource is available at any time. At the start of each round, players spin the rondel one segment, adjusting the counts of all resources at once. Each player has a personal game board. New buildings enter the game from time to time, and players can build them on their game boards with the building materials they collect, with some terrain restrictions on what can be built where. Some spaces start with trees or swamps on them, and these hinder development until a player clears the land, but they also provide resources when removed. Smart building on your personal game board will influence your final score, and players can purchase additional terrain during the game if necessary. Players also have three workers who can enter buildings to take the action associated with that location. Workers must remain in place until you have placed all three. You can enter your own buildings with these workers, but to enter and use another player's buildings you must pay that player an entrance fee so that he moves one of his workers into that building to do the work for you . Ora et Labora has two variants: France and Ireland.

Gloomhaven: Buttons & Bugs is a solo game, with an original campaign written by Isaac Childres, that offers a playstyle similar to Gloomhaven but at a fraction of the size. Gloomhaven: Buttons & Bugs takes place after the events of Gloomhaven and Forgotten Circles. The reclusive Aesther Hail has built a reputation for her crucial role in saving the city, and she absolutely hates it. Wannabe heroes are constantly invading her studio at the Crooked Bone, looking for help to become famous themselves - and then there are the demons out for revenge. She briefly considered moving, but since that would require effort, she instead placed an enchantment on her front door: anyone who tries to open it will be reduced in size and therefore no longer a problem. Your character is such a wannabe hero. In an ill-conceived attempt to become famous, you try to visit Hail, and poof. Now you are as small as a mouse and have entered a completely different world of lawlessness. They must find a new way into the Crooked Bone and convince Hail to return them to their previous format. Each scenario is a single map, pitting one mercenary against a handful of enemies using simplified actions and artificial intelligence. Each mercenary only has four double-sided cards in their hand, but these can be used twice - both front and back - before being discarded. Attacks are resolved using a die in combination with a modifier table, and both the table and the mercenary's skill cards can be improved as you level up throughout the campaign.
